Ralph Lauren Analogy (Attainable Luxury)

At the Tay Harlan Gallery, each artwork handcrafted by Tay Harlan echoes the philosophy of refined accessibility. Much like Ralph Lauren elevated fashion to an aspirational yet attainable level, Tay Harlan’s pieces inhabit a realm where exclusivity and approachability intertwine. These one-of-a-kind works are designed for those who seek the extraordinary, yet they are not entirely beyond reach.

While some may find themselves acquiring a piece in the range of $350 to $450, there are also exquisite, limited editions that ascend to $5,000 or $10,000. In this way, the gallery positions itself above the ordinary, yet it refrains from ascending to a realm reserved solely for the elite. Just like Polo by Ralph Lauren, his products are attainable to the average man, but the man must want it, and pay a slightly elevated price to assume the brand identity. And even though the prices are high, they are not so high that it is completely out of reach by ordinary enthusiasts. Tay Harlan, like Ralph Lauren, maintains a level of excellence and exclusivity, while at the same time inviting ordinary citizens with high class sensibilities to partake in the experience of the brand. 

In this spirit, I will release The Polo Collection to honor the timeless style of Ralph Lauren, a truly American brand. The pieces will consist of Polo iconography but in the classic Tay Harlan art style. This will likely be released piecemeal at the end of summer '26.
